This is a practical course aimed at the home barista and coffee enthusiast entering specialty coffee espresso brewing and late art skill.

What You Will Learn

No prior experience required, we can assist you in tuning in your espresso brewing skills followed by late art. The course will be adapted to your individual experience level.

This is a practical course, looking at the process of preparing a good espresso. This includes calibrating your grinder, grinding coffee and using the espresso machine correctly. The espresso brewing is followed by milk texturing and an introduction to latte art. This includes steaming milk, pouring your favourite coffees found on every coffee menu and getting familiar with basic latte art. Finally, we will introduce you to care and cleaning of your barista equipment which we praise highly.

We run our courses on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Please get in touch with us via marian@zermattrosterei.ch to find out when the courses will be held next time. Courses are held at our roastery, Spissstrasse 1, 3920 Zermatt and Walliserhof Hotel, Bahnhofstrasse , Zermatt 3920. After a site visit we are also happy to provide training on-site at your hotel or chalet at additional cost.

What Else You Need To Know

We advice you not to consume any caffeine before attending our courses as tasting will be an important part of your day at our roastery.
